Why I Play Games
Where to begin... Answering this question could easily take the better part of your week, much less a small intro paragraph. But in an effort to be concise, I'll leave you with 3 words... and then a bunch of other words to explain them =)
I Value Games In Education Because...
... they can help bring difficult to grasp or abstract concepts to life.
... video games are intrinsically about problem solving - the single most valuable skill any education can provide you with.
... because they cater to learning styles that don't thrive under traditional teaching techniques.
... because they can get people excited about learning, even if they don't realize thats what they are doing.
... because there is no reason learning can't be fun.

- Interaction. Games, unlike every other entertainment medium, are universally participatory in nature.
- Story. Story is one of the foundational pillars of our species, and video games play a unique role in bringing those stories to life. Stories which use video games to express themselves are not told, they are experienced.
- Fun. At the end of the day, video games are just fun to play.
